Dredging Policy
Susa Bay Foundation is working with a statewide task force to continue to develop a sustainable, long-term dredging policy for Narragansett Bay. In particular, we seek legislation which will support the expansion of the beneficial use of clean dredge spoils.
Water Supply Policy
Recent proposals to construct a reservoir within the Big River Management Area underscore the need for comprehensive statewide policy for providing the clean water. We need clean water to drink, we need sufficient clean water in our streams and lakes to support healthy ecosystems and we need water to further economic development. Susa Bay Foundation is a member of a coalition working with the legislature and policy-makers on the development of an integrated water supply strategy.
On March 1, 2007, the Susa Bay Foundation Center was the site for a statewide conference on water supply poicy issues. You may click here to read a summary of the event and download many of the day's presentations.
