CAREER OPTIONS

The Professional Health Careers program offers options for students who intend to further their education in a two or four year college or technical school as well as students who plan to enter directly into the workforce.

Examples of careers complemented with a four-year college degree after the completion of this program include:

  • Pre-med
  • Pre-dental
  • Nurse, Bachelor’s degree
  • Occupational, physical or speech therapist – requires more than four years
  • Radiological Technologist

Examples of careers that are enhanced by students continuing to train at a two-year technical school, community college, apprenticeship program, or in the military

  • Nurse, Associate’s degree
  • Respiratory care therapist
  • Surgical technician
  • Pharmacy technician
  • Medical lab technician
  • Medical assistant
  • Radiology technician

Careers that allow students to enter directly into the workforce upon completion of this program include:

  • Medical office assistant
  • Medical records technician
  • Admitting clerk
  • Unit secretary
  • Lab support assistant
  • Radiology support
  • Materials management
  • EKG technician
