INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY/QUALIFICATIONS

Jo McGovern, RN, MSN joined the staff at CTC in 2002 after 30 years of active nursing practice in special care units, childbirth, home health, health care management, community/school health, and geriatrics. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree was obtained from The University of Rhode Island  while the Master of Science in Nursing/Health Care Education was achieved at The University of Phoenix. Ms. McGovern currently holds an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education.

Extracurricular activities include serving as a SkillsUSA advisor, a member of CTC’s recruitment committee and a member of the Frederick Community College Medical Assistant Advisory Committee.
