Course Description
This is a one-year program that offers both theory and practical training in patient care.
Basic nursing procedures are taught, and clinical experiences are provided at a local nursing home and hospital. Skills taught include those needed to give personal care to patients, such as taking blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and administering CPR. The state test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant is given after successful completion of the program.
Expenditures include the cost of uniform and $25 to take the CNA test.
