PRINCIPLES OF MASONRY

Instructor

John ClarkJohn Clark joined the staff of the Frederick County Career & Technology Center in the fall of 1999.  Prior to coming to the Career & Technology Center, Mr. Clark was a masonry instructor in Garrett County teaching at Northern & Southern Garrett High Schools for 10 years. 

Mr. Clark is an active advisor for the SkillsUSA organization at CTC and a Maryland SkillsUSA Board of Director.  Through SkillsUSA, Mr. Clark has had the opportunity to mentor many state and national masonry contest winners.

Before teaching, Mr. Clark worked for various masonry companies throughout the east coast.  Mr. Clark specialized in commercial work, constructing and revitalizing buildings like the National Cathedral in Washington DC; government buildings such as American embassy and the CIA building; schools and churches in the Washington/Baltimore area.  Mr. Clark was also the owner/operator of Stonehedge Masonry & Landscaping, a business that specialized in residential construction.  Mr. Clark has 25 years experience in the masonry trade.
