ENGLISH 12 - MERIT

Emphasis is on the study of world literature and how it crosses history and cultures. Objectives also include the research paper and compositions and analyzing literature. Students fulfill school-to-career requirements by completing a resume and business interview.

Grammar and usage skills continue to be studied through the writing process.

This course is offered only at the Career and Technology Center in a ninety minute format during the second semester

ENGLISH 12 - DIRECTED

Objectives of this course, offered only at the Career and Technology Center in a ninety minute format during the second semester, include an examination of oral language choices, the use of specialized reference material, and distinguishing between fact and inference. Students are required to apply grammar, usage, and composition skills in writing assignments which include sentence outlines and critical analyses.

WORLD LITERATURE - MERIT

Objectives of this course, offered only at the Career and Technology Center as a year-long course meeting at 7:15 a.m., include an examination of oral language choices, the use of specialized reference material, and distinguishing between fact and inference. Students are required to apply grammar, usage and composition skills in writing assignment which include sentence outlines and critical analyses.
