EXTERNAL CERTIFICATIONS
Automotive Technology students are encouraged to meet today’s challenges and become certified! By taking and passing tough, national competency exams students will have the pride of knowing that they are among the elite in their profession. Students will have the opportunity to obtain certification in the following areas:

- ASE Student Achievement Certification- Upon Completion of the AYES Final Exams in Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Engine Performance, Electrical and Electronics, students will receive this certification.
- ASE Automobile Technician Certification- Twice a year, ASE offers certification tests for automotive professionals. Students may sign up to take one or several exams. If students pass at least one test and have two-years of relevant hands-on work experience, they earn ASE certification.
- ASE Certification in Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recycling and Recovery. (www.asecert.org)
- CCAR (Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair) Certification in environmental compliance, shop safety, pollution prevention, and hazardous material handling. (www.ccar-greenlink.org)
